Love & Happiness Diamond Easel Fun Fold

 Hello stamping friends! Today’s card share features a Diamond Easel Fun Fold made using the Love & Happiness Bundle, Heart & Home Designer Series Paper and the Brushed Brass Butterflies.

The Heart & Home Designer Series Paper is so pretty. I have used one of the many white wood grain patterns to make the Diamond Easel Fun Fold card.

Fun fact- the 4 x 4 card here is made from the left over pieces after making the Fun Fold. I tried to keep it simple and elegant. I used my snips to break down the Pale Papaya Cardstock on the top and bottom of the card layer to add texture by running the blade itself along the edge of the Cardstock many times. 


The newest craze/technique in card making seems to be folding paper up to look like ribbon. The Evening Evergreen piece behind the focal image on the Fun fold is a 1/2 x 12 piece of Cardstock that I scored every inch and then folded to make it look a little like a ribbon. I added a few pieces of the Evening Evergreen Open Weave Ribbon to the bottom left of the design for texture. 


The Brushed Brass Butterflies and the Opal Rounds add some elegance and polish to both cards. The butterflies somehow seemed appropriate for engagement/wedding cards. Perhaps because they symbolize new beginnings.

The Gold & Rose Gold Metallic Specialty Paper adds the proper amount of visual interest and elegance to the 4 x 4 card to keep it from being too plain or boring. I used very little of this specialty paper to make this card but it really adds quite a lot to the design.

Card front base layer- Basic Gray Cardstock 2 3/8  x 4 7/8

Card front top layer- Heart & Home Designer Series Paper- 2 1/4 x 4 3/4

Card front Diamond - Basic Gray Cardstock- 3 1/4 x 3 1/4 ( cut two so you have one for the inside)

Card front Diamond layer-Heart & Home Designer Series Paper- 3 1/8 x 3 1/8

Inside card Diamond layer- Heart & Home Designer Series Paper- 3 x 3

Inside card corners-Basic Gray Cardstock- cut 2- 2 1/4 x 2 1/4 cut both pieces diagonally 

Inside card corner layers- Heart & Home Designer Series Paper -cut 2- 2 x 2- cut both diagonally 

Making the point on the front- find the center of the bottom piece of your card front- it should be at 2 1/2’-mark it with a pencil. 

Using your trimmer line up the pencil mark and the corner of the score line in the channels of your trimmer and cut from the side to the center on both sides forming a point.
