Celebrating In Color with Lovely & Lasting Handmade Watercolor Card

 Hello stamping friends! Today’s card share features the May, 2022, Celebrating In Color Paper Pumpkin Kit, Lovely & Lasting Bundle, Water Painters and the Watercolor Pencils. 


This Paper Pumpkin Kit contained the supplies to make two each of five In Color cards. I made one of each according to the Kit directions and one of each using a punch and stamp set.

Today’s card share includes the Starry Sky set of cards from the Kit. The card on the left in the first picture is the card made as per the Kit directions and the card on the right is still made mostly according to the directions but stepped up with the stamp Set and punch.

Directions:

Assemble the card according to the Kit directions with the following exceptions:


1. Stamp the large floral image from the Lovely & Lasting Stamp Set onto Basic White Cardstock using the Starry Sky Classic Stampin Ink Pad. 

2. Using the Coastal Cabana Watercolor Pencil from the Watercolor Pencils Assortment 2, Color the flower center and the outer edges of the flower center. ( see picture) 

3. Use the Water Painter to go over the areas you just colored with the watercolor pencil softening and blending the ink. The Starry Sky Ink May bleed into this a bit as well. 

4. Cut a 6’ length of the Pool Party Sheer Ribbon down the center. 


5. Adhere the large floral image to the center of the card using liquid glue sparingly. The watercolor process bends the paper up a bit which adds texture. You do not want to then flatten it out by using too much glue. Unless of course you want it flat, and in that case, go crazy. 

6. Tape the ribbon to the center of the floral image using a dry fit method with the “Best Wishes” die cut to ensure that both ends extend beyond the die cut once taped. Adjust as necessary. 

7. Place dimensionals on the back of the “Best Wishes” die cut and adhere it over the flower and ribbon layers. 

8. Stamp the “ Best Of Luck” sentiment from the Lovely & Lasting Stamp Set in Starry Sky Classic Stampin Ink onto a Basic White strip of paper. 



9. Cut the sentiment into two pieces between “ best of” and “luck.”Using liquid glue adhere the sentiment to the card front as shown in the picture. 

10. Embellish with the 22-24 In Color Matte Decorative Dots.
