Blessings Of Home Watercolor Handmade Card

 Hello stamping friends! Today’s card share features some watercolor techniques using the Blessings Of Home Stamp Set. 

These cards were made using the Blessings Of Home Stamp Set, Watercolor Pencils, Water Painters, Denim Ribbon, Heart & Home Doilies, Heart & Home Designer Series Paper, White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon, Stylish Shapes Dies and the Pearl Basic Jewels to name a few of the items. 

Blessings Of Home Bundle $51.25

The Blessings Of Home Stamp Set contains a few floral arrangements and quite a few sentiments. The large floral image was my inspiration for these cards. It has been a while since I have gotten inky and I just wanted to play.

The Stylish Shapes Dies are a fun new die set of circles, squares and banners that are a basic supply item( must have) for any crafter. I used the largest banner for the sentiment on one of the cards.

For these cards I have taken a smattering of my favorite techniques and thrown them all together. I wanted to watercolor, ink splatter and use colored pencils. 

Heart & Home Designer Series Paper $10.35 while supplies last 

I started with the barrier technique often used in watercolor where you begin by embossing the image and the embossing provides a barrier to prevent your watercolors from mixing. I used dark paper to make the watercolor pencils pop more, which is another technique. Then I used the craft ink refill and a water painter to splatter white ink on my projects which is yet another

Pearl Basic Jewels $6.00

I used both assortments ( 1 & 2) of the watercolor pencils so I would have more colors to highlight and shade with. For the gold embossed card I colored the images with a lighter color and then added a darker color where the shading would have been. Then I used the Water painters to lightly blend areas where the two colors merged.

For the white embossed card I colored the images with the watercolor pencils and then used the WaterPainter to give it a more chalky look. I also used a drop of the White Craft Ink to add white to the coloring furthering the chalky look. 

Watercolor Pencils Assortment 2 $12.50

I used the Heart & Home Doilies to add detail to my cards. On the white embossed card I cut it in half and put the pieces across from each other with the  large flower image spanning the middle. On the gold embossed card I cut the doily in half and exposed a small piece to the left of the design. 

Heart & Home Doilies $4.50 while supplies last 

The White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon and the Denim Ribbon gave these cards more of the messy, artsy look I was going for. I cut the denim ribbon down the center and used half of it with the White Ribbon to make a messy bow to add to each of these cards.
