Turtle Encouragement Card

 Hello stamping friends! Today’s card share features an encouragement card for a cousin who loves turtles and is going through a very difficult time. 



This card was made using the Turtle Friends Bundle(retired), Tea Boutique Designer Series Paper, In Color Glimmer Paper, A Grand Kid Stamp Set and the Basic Borders Dies. The Sweet Songbirds Bundle could be substituted for the Turtle Friends Bundle to make this card.

The Basic Borders Dies were used to achieve a kerchief affect at the bottom of this card. This die set comes with six dies which can be used in a variety of ways including but not limited to the creation of borders on your cards.

The In Color Glimmer Paper was used for the turtle on this sample with the intention of making the turtle a pretty, glittery green. After I stamped the turtle image with the Memento Tuxedo Black Ink Pad, I realized that it was much lighter than I would have liked so I used a gel pen to trace the stamped lines. You could also use the Stazon Black Ink to stamp this image on the glimmer Paper.

The Tea Boutique Designer Series paper is a gorgeous 12 x 12 paper pack which includes 48 sheets, quite a few of which feature the new In Colors. I used a sheet with a teacup planters design thinking that the greenery would suit a turtle card well.

The A Grand Kid Stamp Set has gotten so much love from me lately! The sentiments are perfect for friends and family members. I have used it here on the inside of the card as a supporting sentiment for the one on the cover.

To substitute the Sweet Songbirds Bundle simply switch the turtle to a bird and choose a new sentiment from the bundle. The “so happy you’re here” or “It’s your special day” would both fit the space nicely.
