Sweet Songbirds- New In Color Card Samples

 Hello stamping friends! Today’s card share features the Sweet Songbirds Bundle and the fabulous new In Colors, Starry Sky, Parakeet Party, Sweet Sorbet, Tahitian Tide and Orchid Oasis. 


These cards were made using the Sweet Songbirds Bundle, Stylish Shapes Dies, 2022-24 In Color Designer Series Paper,  2022-24 In Color Glimmer Paper, 2022-24 In Color Cardstock, Linen Thread and the Matte Black Dots.

The Sweet Songbirds Bundle is an adorable and versatile stamp and punch combo with a variety of scene building stamps such as the branches, leaves and the cute little sign. I used the punch, 2022-24 In Color Glimmer Paper, Pumpkin Pie Stampin Blends Cobo Pack and the Matte Black Dots to make the birds for these cards but the stamp set contains bird builder stamps which do so as well.

The Stylish Shapes Dies are a fun new die set of circles, squares and banners that are a basic supply item( must have) for any crafter. I used the largest square and the largest banner dies for these samples.

The 22-24 In Color Cardstock is a variety pack of the new In Colors for those who may not need a Cardstock pack for each color. This pack contains 4 sheets each of the 5 In Colors.

The 22-24 In Color Designer Series Paper is a 6 x 6 paper pack of the New In Colors in various new patterns. I used this paper as the background for these cards. I tried to use one of each of the patterns so you would see a good sampling of the papers.

The 22-24 In Color glimmer Paper has become a favorite item of mine from the new Annual Catalog and I have used it on four projects already. For this project I used the glimmer paper and the punch to make some shimmery birds. (Scroll through the pictures to really see the shimmer). I punched the bird bodies from the darkest end of each ombré In Color Glimmer Paper sheet and the wing and beak from the lightest section. Then I colored the beaks with the dark Pumpkin Pie Stampin Blends Marker.

The Linen thread is a crafters staple item that is especially useful in card making because of the size. The linen thread never overwhelms a card design. I used it to make a cute little bow to top the sign for these cards.

The Matte Black Dots are usually an embellishment that adds detail to a completed design. For these cards I used the Matte Black Dots to add eyes for the birds that were more 3D in nature to make them pop more against the 22-24 In Color Glimmer Paper.

In Color Card Base ( each card is made with one of the five new In Colors so the color you are working with would be the same color you would use to build your card, referred to here as In Color) 4 1/4 x 11 scored at 5 1/2

Basic White Cardstock cut with the largest square in the Stylish Shapes Dies 2 3/4 x 2 3/4

Basic White Cardstock cut with the largest Banner Die from the Stylish Shapes Dies and then cut in the middle to extend beyond the sides of the square in the card layout 1 1/4 x 3 3/4 

Basic White Cardstock inside layer 4 x 5 1/4

In Color Designer Series Paper inside strip 3/4 x 4

Today’s card share features the Hey Sports Fan Suite Collection which includes the Your Biggest Fan Bundle($40.50), Fan Bakers Twine($7.50), Resin Stars($8.00), and the Hey Sports Fan Designer Series Paper($11.50) all for $67.50 with one item number 157896.    The Your Biggest Fan Bundle is already a new catalog favorite for me. I have posted a few cards already made with the Sports Event Dies and they are so incredibly versatile!
