Hello Ladybug Pop and Twist Fun Fold

 Hello stamping friends ❣️ Today’s card share features a Pop And Twist fun fold for my daughter’s 17th Birthday. This card was made using the Hello Ladybug Bundle, Sending Dies, Hues Of Happiness Designer Series Paper, Medium Daisy Punch, Vellum Cardstock and the Tear And Tape Adhesive. 



The Hello Ladybug Bundle is positively adorable! With five buggy sentiments and various ladybug images and builder stamps you can’t go wrong with this set! The Ladybugs were used as the focal images to build this card front.

The sending dies come with both the word and shadow dies as well as a few banner dies to stamp a supporting sentiment on. This versatile set of dies instantly grabbed my attention in the new catalog. I have used them to make the sentiment pop on this card.

The Hues Of Happiness Designer Series Paper is positively gorgeous! I thought the flower back drop would be perfect for the ladybugs and daisies on this card. 

Hues Of Happiness Designer Series Paper $12.00

The Medium Daisy Punch was used to make the flowers which, along with the lady bugs, are the focal images on this card. I used a retired flower center gem because it fits the flower center perfectly. 

Medium Daisy Punch $16.00

The Vellum Cardstock was used to simulate the wings on these adorable little critters. I punched the wings using the Ladybug Builder Punch and used glue dots to secure them under another set of Melon Mambo Cardstock punched wings with just a sliver of vellum left showing along the edges.

The Tear and Tape Adhesive is a strong holding adhesive that is a must have for 3D items, especially ones with moving parts.

Measurements:

Daffodil Delight card base 4 1/4 x 11 scored at 5 1/2

Daisy Delight Cardstock 4 panel strip for the pop out panel on the inside of the card. 10’ x 3 1/2 scored on the long side at 

2 1/2, 5’, and 7 1/2 

Balmy Blue Cardstock panels for the pop out feature (4) 3 3/8 x 2 3/8 

Basic White Cardstock panels for the pop out feature 3 1/4 x 2 1/4 

Pop out mechanism base 8’ x 3 1/2 scored on the short side at 1 3/4. On the long sides( both sides) make a pencil mark using a ruler at 2 1/4 & 5 3/4 . Next line up the marks diagonally in the paper trimmer channel and score an X mark by scoring diagonally from pencil mark to pencil mark. 

To fold the pop out mechanism pinch the long crease lines inward until the x sides rise. If they do not rise, score them so they rise when pinching inward. You should have something that looks like an arrow/ house with a door opening in the middle at this point. 

Place tear and tape on the house roof/ arrow top back side and place it centered with the tip barely meeting the crease on the inside of your card. Place tear and tape on the top side of the arrow top/ house roof and hold the mechanism down while you close the card firmly. 

Put tear and tape on the bottom left corner and top right corner of the folding mechanism when it’s open. Fold the left and right flaps into the center on your 4 panel pop out piece. This makes it easier to center the panel without the tear and tape grabbing it. When you are sure of your placement fold the left and right flap out and burnish it gently. 

Lastly open and shut the card slowly and gently the first few times helping the pieces into place when necessary.

I have posted a few cards already made with the Sports Event Dies and they are so incredibly versatile!
