The Friendly Hello Designer Series Paper is so soft and pretty it really lends itself to simple gorgeous cards. With paper like this it’s easy to just let the paper do all the work, which you will see in the next sample coming later this week.

For this card I wanted to do some color blocking because I have seen so many fun samples lately using this technique! The Friendly Hello Stamp Set is perfect for this technique because the images are just as pretty in black and white as they are colored in.

I found my color inspiration for this card in the coordinating colors for the Friendly Hello Designer Series Paper. The colors used for the color blocking technique are Shaded Spruce, Granny Apple Green and Basic Black. This technique is very simple and tons of fun! You simply choose some colored Cardstocks, cut the Cardstock into strips and arrange them on a layer for your card. I used the Bouquet Of Love Dies to make an opening for my focal image in the center of my card.
