Clever Cats Cute Halloween Handmade Card

 Hello stamping friends! Today’s card share features the Clever Cats Stamp Set, To The Moon Stamp Set and some ink blending for a fun and playful Halloween card. you will find an extra picture included with the Black & White Gingham Ribbon across the bottom of the panel. Let me know in the comments which you prefer. 


There is always some risk with card surgery that you will ruin your completed card but after some deliberation I decided to give it a go. I cut off the ribbon on the panel, turned it into a bow and placed it under the broom instead. Thoughts? Should I have left it the way it was? Which do you prefer? 


Ink blending has become increasingly popular with good reason. The blending Brushes apply ink seamlessly and create quite a beautiful effect on backgrounds.

The To The Moon Stamp Set contains a large moon image that I stamped in Bumblebee Classic Stampin Ink on So Saffron Cardstock. The To The Moon Stamp Set also contains several Star cluster images that I used to add detail and texture to my ink blended background panel.

This card view is intended to show the dimension on the card front. As you can see the cat and broom are popped up on dimensionals and the moon is glued flat.

Basic Black Cardstock card base 4 1/4 x 11 scored at 5 1/2

Bumblebee Cardstock card layer 4 x 5 1/4

Basic White Cardstock card layer 5’ x 3 3/4 inked with the blending brushes and the Gorgeous Grape Classic Stampin Ink Pad and then stamped with the medium and small Star cluster images in Gorgeous Grape Classic Stampin Ink 



So Saffron Cardstock cut with the Layering Circles Dies 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 and then stamped with the moon image from the To The Moon Stamp Set in Bumblebee Classic Stampin Ink 

Stamp the broom image from the Clever Cats Stamp Set in Cinnamon Cider Classic Stampin Ink then fussy cut

Stamp the cat image from the Clever Cats Stamp Set in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and then fussy cut 

Basic White Cardstock inside layer 4 x 5 1/4 stamped with the images from the Clever Cats Stamp Set in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. Using the second step fill in stamp to the pumpkin image in the Clever Cats Stamp Set fill in the pumpkin with Pumpkin Pie Classic Stampin Ink. I turned the stamp upside down and filled a little outside the lines rather than leave the white “shading” areas that the fill in stamp produces.
